Copying a Path

Copying a Path using the Path Menu

1. On the Path Palette, click on the arrow to reveal the Path Menu. Choose "Duplicate Path."

2. When prompted in the "Duplicate Path," name the copied path.

Copying a Path to a New File by Dragging the Path

1. It is simple to copy a path to another file by simply dragging the path with your cursor onto the new file. Place both images side by side on the desktop. Then, select the path you wish to copy.


2. While holding down the cursor on the selected path (on the Path Palette), drag it onto the surface of the image on which you want it to appear. The new path will show up in the Path Palette. Use the Direct Selection (#7) tool to place the path where you want it.
